Session Overview
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it’s completely normal to feel a mix of emotions coming into your first session.
Our initial session is a chance for us to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you in, what you’ve been experiencing, and what you’re hoping for moving forward.
You’re welcome to share as much or as little as feels comfortable. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out.
I may ask some questions to better understand your history, relationships, and current challenges, but we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and understood.
We’ll also spend a bit of time talking about how I work and what therapy together might look like, so you can get a sense of whether it feels like a good fit.
Focus
Real Support For Real Life
I work with individuals navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, and the impact of childhood trauma on their adult lives.
Many of my clients come in feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, stuck in patterns in their relationships or dating lives, or disconnected from themselves. You might be moving through a major shift, carrying grief or loss, or trying to make sense of why certain dynamics keep repeating.
Together, we explore the deeper layers beneath these experiences, helping you understand your patterns, process emotions, and build a more compassionate and grounded relationship with yourself.
Approach
How We'll Work Together
I take a collaborative and flexible approach to therapy, shaped by who you are and what you need. I’m trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS), Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), and I draw from these in a way that feels responsive rather than rigid.
There’s no one “right” way to do therapy. Some sessions might focus on understanding patterns and making sense of your experiences, while others may be more experiential, helping you connect with emotions, your body, or different parts of yourself.
I bring both depth and lightness into the work. Therapy can hold space for the hard, complex, and painful parts of your story, while also making room for humor, curiosity, and real, human moments. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable being yourself, while also feeling supported and gently challenged to grow.
